Delete your account and data

1. How to send a request

Fill in the form above: enter the e-mail address of the account and choose whether we should delete the account with all its data or only selected data.

In the mobile app the same form opens from the Profile tab with the “Delete account and data” button. You can also send the request by e-mail to hello@verbalu.com, ideally from the address assigned to the account.

Before we delete anything, we confirm the request with a message sent to the account’s e-mail address. This protects you from someone else having your account deleted.

2. What we delete

Account data: your name, e-mail address, sign-in details and settings.

Content created on the account, for example quizzes, courses, surveys, boards and uploaded files, as well as the learning progress and group memberships saved on the account. If you create content together with other people in an organization, we will agree with you in our reply which items are deleted and which stay with the organization.

3. What we may keep and for how long

Billing data and invoices are kept for 5 years from the end of the year in which the tax obligation arose, because the law requires it. Correspondence about your request is kept for as long as needed to handle it and until any related claims become time-barred.

Answers and results saved in sessions run by a trainer, a school or a company are that organizer’s data and stay with them until they delete them. Send a request to delete them to the organizer; if you send it to us, we will pass it on to the organizer.

4. Deleting some data without deleting the account

If you want to keep your account, choose “Only selected data, keep the account” in the form and describe what we should delete, for example specific materials, files or your history of taking part in sessions.

5. Participants without an account

You can join a Verbalu session with a code alone, without creating an account. There is then no account to delete, and the name and answers you gave are stored in the organizer’s session.

To ask for them to be deleted, enter a contact e-mail address in the form together with the session code or the name of the session and the name you used. We will pass the request on to the session organizer.

6. Timing and effects

We respond without undue delay, at the latest within one month of receiving the request. Deletion is free of charge and permanent: a deleted account and its content cannot be restored.
