Transcript and training follow-up

Session Recap

Nothing from the training slips away. Record on a laptop or a phone, and afterwards you get a timeline of the room's questions, confusion and disagreements. Two clicks turn any of those moments into an answer, a quiz or a message to participants. The recording is never stored anywhere.

What is Session Recap?

Session Recap is a recorder for trainers who are busy running the session and have no time to take notes. Put a laptop or a phone in the room and train as usual: roughly every 5 minutes the audio turns into text. Each utterance gets a trainer or participant role, worked out from what is said, not from the voice. Participants join with a code or a QR code and can tap “I have a question” or “I'm lost” on their phones at any moment.

After the training the AI reads only the text and within minutes lays out a timeline of the day: chapters, how much the trainer and the room talked, and flagged moments. They include questions with and without an answer, requests to repeat, hard material, disagreements, doubts like “this won't work for us”, uncertain answers and your own promises such as “I'll send it” or “I'll check”. Every moment comes with a verbatim quote and the reason it was flagged, so you decide what to keep without listening to anything. Two clicks turn the chosen moments into a follow-up package: a Q&A article, a quiz or flashcards, and a message to participants sent through the event's communication plan or the cohort newsletter.

The recording is never stored anywhere: each piece of audio is deleted right after it becomes text, and the review screen shows you the deletion confirmation. Training online? Import the transcript from Teams, Zoom or Google Meet (VTT, SRT or TXT), and participants' names are replaced with “Participant” as soon as the file is imported. Transcription and analysis use AI credits.

See how it works

From voices in the room to follow-up material

The trainer's laptop records the training, and every 5 minutes a piece of audio turns into text with a clock time and a role: trainer or participant. When a participant taps “I'm lost” on their phone, the flag lands on that very utterance. After the training a timeline appears with chapters, talk share and markers for questions, confusion and disagreements, and the recording is already deleted. The chosen moments become a Q&A article, a quiz and a message that reaches participants' phones.

Features

Key capabilities

  • Record on a laptop or a phone

No extra equipment or installation: a browser on the trainer's laptop or a phone placed closer to the room is enough. The text builds up as you go, so the transcript is ready shortly after the session. “Off the record” pauses recording and “Mark the moment” flags an important spot.

  • Trainer and room kept apart

Every utterance has a clock time and a trainer or participant role. The AI judges the role from the flow of the conversation, with no voice recognition and no names. You fix a mistake in one click, even for a whole passage.

  • Signals from participants' phones

Participants tap “I have a question” or “I'm lost”, and their signals land on the timeline exactly where something was unclear. When the AI, your own mark and the room's flags point to the same spot, the moment gets more weight.

  • A timeline of the hard moments

Chapters, a talk-share bar and markers with a type icon: question, confusion, hard material, disagreement, doubt, uncertain answer, trainer's promise. A bigger marker means a more important moment, and a click takes you to that part of the transcript.

  • Follow-up package

The chosen moments become a Q&A article in the knowledge base, a quiz or flashcards, and a message to participants with links to the materials. The AI never answers on your behalf: it keeps answers given in the room, your own notes and its suggestions apart, and its suggestions always wait for your approval.

  • The recording is not stored

Audio is gone right after it becomes text, and the analysis reads only the words, never the tone of voice. The transcript is visible to you and the co-trainers you choose, not to the whole organization or the participants. After 30, 90 or 365 days it deletes itself.

Step by step

How it works

  1. Tell the room and start

Pick the training language and how long to keep the transcript, read the ready-made notice to the room and show the QR code. Recording starts once you confirm that participants know about it.

  2. Run the session as usual

The transcript grows in the background every few minutes. Flag an important spot with “Mark the moment” and keep a conversation out of the record with “Off the record”.

  3. Review the timeline

When you finish, the AI splits the day into chapters and flags the hard moments within minutes. You keep, dismiss or fix each one, and the verbatim quote lets you judge it without listening back.

  4. Send the follow-up

Turn the chosen moments into a Q&A article, a quiz or flashcards, and a message to participants sent through the event or the cohort.

Use cases

What it’s good for

  • A post-training FAQ: every question from the room, including the ones there was no time for, as an article with answers in the knowledge base
  • A reinforcement quiz built from the parts where the group got lost, sent to participants the day after the training
  • Improving the training material where the room asks you to repeat things and the same questions come back edition after edition
  • A list of the trainer's promises (“I'll send the slides”, “I'll check that”) ready right after the session, so nothing slips through
  • Online training in Teams, Zoom or Google Meet: import the ready transcript instead of recording
  • I want to know what was unclear in my training without taking notes while I run it
  • I'm looking for a way to send participants answers to their questions and a short quiz after the training
