Training game

Summit Climb

A quiz in which the whole room climbs one mountain wall. Every participant has their own climber drawn in 3D, starting in the base camp. Everybody gets the same question at the same moment, and a climber goes higher the faster somebody taps the correct answer: six holds for an instant answer, down to zero on the buzzer. A wrong answer costs a life, and whoever loses the last one falls off the wall. The first climber on the summit wins, but the expedition goes on until everybody has either made it or fallen.

What is the Summit Climb game?

The trainer writes a set of single-choice questions with four answers (or imports them from Board Race, Quiz Show or a quiz, or has AI draft them), then picks the height of the wall, the time to answer, the number of lives and how many special holds there are. Participants join by QR code, type a name and get their own climber in the base camp. A turn does not end until the whole room has answered or the time runs out, so nobody is left behind by a slow phone and nobody runs ten questions ahead of the rest.

When the turn closes, every climber moves at once. A wrong answer slips a hold and costs a life, no answer costs a life too, and whoever loses the last one tumbles down to the base camp and keeps cheering from their phone. Special holds wait on the wall: a fixed rope hauls a climber three holds up, a rockfall knocks them three down, a storm takes a turn away, a die adds one to six holds, a first aid kit gives a life back, and an avalanche lets its finder send a chosen rival five holds down. The first climber on the summit plants the flag and wins, but the game goes on for the next places until everyone is on top or off the wall. Eagles circle the face, mountain goats stand on the ledges and clouds drift by, while the trainer has the code, the QR, the live standings with everybody's lives and the whole wall in wide shot on the projector.

See how it works

A fast answer hauls you higher, a mistake costs a life

The whole room answers the same question: the gold climber taps at once and climbs four holds, straight onto the summit, while the blue one answers later and climbs two. The pink climber was in the lead, but on her last life she picks the wrong answer: she slips, loses the life and falls to the base camp. Gold plants the flag first, and the expedition goes on until blue reaches the top or falls.

Features

Key capabilities

  • Faster means higher

A correct answer is not worth a point, it is worth height: six holds for an instant answer, fewer with every second, zero on the buzzer. Whoever knows the answer by heart overtakes whoever has to work it out.

  • Lives that teach care

The trainer decides how many lives every climber has, from one to five. A wrong answer and a missing answer each cost a life, and the last one lost ends the climb with a fall to the base camp. Nobody taps at random on their last life.

  • Fixed ropes, rockfall, storms and avalanches

A fixed rope hauls a climber three holds up, a rockfall knocks them three down, a storm takes the next turn away, a die adds one to six holds, a first aid kit gives a lost life back, and an avalanche lets its finder point at a rival and send them five holds down. They are placed at random on every run, so the same group never climbs the same wall twice.

  • A game to the last climber

The first one on the summit wins, but nobody is left with nothing: the climb goes on until everybody has made it or fallen, and later climbers take the further summit places. Those who fell watch the finish on their phones and cheer the rest on.

  • A 3D wall on a phone

Everybody watches their own climber up close and zooms the camera out to the whole wall with one button. Mountain goats on the ledges, eagles, clouds, snow under the summit, the falls and the fireworks at the top are drawn by the browser itself, in portrait or landscape, with nothing to install.

  • Questions from AI or from what you have

Give a topic or a document and AI writes the questions in your language. Already have a board race, a quiz, a quiz show or a tower defence? Questions travel both ways, because every question tool speaks the same format. Before anything is copied you see what will happen to each question, and the original is left untouched.

Step by step

How it works

  1. Prepare a question set

Write single-choice questions with four answers, import them or ask AI. Set the height of the wall (24, 32 or 40 holds), the time to answer, the number of lives and of special holds, then try the set yourself against three computer-controlled climbers.

  2. Open the expedition

Start a run and show the QR code on the projector. Participants scan it, type a name and take their place in the base camp, each in a helmet of their own colour. Once everybody is there you tap start and the countdown runs.

  3. Run the climb from the projector

The console shows the question with its clock, the answer counter, the standings with every player's height, lives and streak, and the whole wall in wide shot. You can freeze the game, or open each next question only once you have talked the answer through.

  4. Debrief the hard questions

After the expedition you get the podium and the list of questions the whole room missed most, with a CSV export. Ready material for the debrief and a hint about what to go over next time.

Use cases

What it’s good for

  • Revision before an exam or a certification where every mistake really costs something.
  • An energizer after a break: a dozen questions and the whole room cheers the last climbers up to the summit.
  • A knowledge check after a training module, with the correct answer and a hint after every turn.
  • Onboarding new hires: products, procedures and safety rules as an expedition they remember longer than a slide deck.
  • A workshop on decisions under pressure: when to answer fast and when not to risk your last life.
  • Lessons at school: vocabulary, dates and definitions as a climb where both knowledge and care count.
