A film that asks questions

Interactive video

Record a short film or upload one, then add stops: an explanation, a question or a flashcard. Participants watch on their phones, the film pauses at every stop, and you see who watched how much and how they answered.

What is Interactive video?

Record a film of up to 5 minutes on your phone or upload one from your computer. Pause it at the moments you choose and add stops: an explanation shown over the paused picture, a question with one or several right answers, or a flashcard to turn over. If you like, AI watches the film and proposes stops, and you pick the ones to keep.

Then run a session with your group: a code, a link or a QR code. Everyone watches at their own pace on a phone or computer, and a live report grows on your screen: how many people watched each part of the film, how each stop went and what every person answered. The same film works as a course step and as an item on an event agenda.

See it in action

The film stops, asks, and plays on

The film on the phone pauses at a stop and shows a question. The participant picks an answer, sees straight away that it is right, and the film plays on. On the trainer's screen the right answers add up, and the chart shows how many people watched each part.

Features

Key capabilities

  • Phone recording or a file

Record with your phone straight from the editor, or upload an MP4, MOV or WebM file of up to 500 MB. A film runs up to 5 minutes, and the copy that plays takes about 8 MB a minute of your organization's storage.

  • Three kinds of stops

An explanation over the paused film, a question with one or several right answers, and a flashcard with the answer on the back. The right answer shows after answering, and a question can be made obligatory.

  • Stops proposed by AI

Only when you click, AI watches the film and proposes stops with their content written. It costs one AI credit, and you choose which proposals to keep.

  • Captions from the speech

One click turns what is said in the film into captions, with no AI credits. Participants switch them on with the CC button.

  • No skipping ahead

Switch it on and participants cannot jump past what they have already watched. Going back always works.

  • Live report and CSV

An audience curve across the whole film, the results of every stop and every person's answers. Download it all as CSV.

Step by step

How it works

  1. Record or upload a film

Up to 5 minutes, on your phone or from a file.

  2. Add stops

Pause the film and pick an explanation, a question or a flashcard. Or ask AI for proposals.

  3. Run a session

Show the code or QR code, and participants watch the film on their phones.

  4. Read the report

See who watched how much and where the group gets it wrong.

Use cases

What it’s good for

  • On-the-job instruction: operating a machine step by step
  • A health and safety procedure with a question after each stage
  • Pre-work to watch before a training day, with check questions
  • Onboarding: a welcome film with flashcards about the company
  • Product training for sales teams with obligatory questions
  • A course step that counts only once the film is watched to the end
