Multitasking
Prove the cost of multitasking in two minutes - players clear the same board twice and the clock tells the story.

What is the Multitasking game?
Multitasking is a hands-on game about the hidden cost of switching between tasks. The teacher creates a session and shares a QR code; every player joins on their own device and clears the same board of 20 bricks twice.
In round 1 they stay focused - all numbers 1–10, then all letters A–J. In round 2 they constantly switch - 1, A, 2, B, 3, C… The same task, a different order, and a reliably slower time. Each device measures both runs and the host shows a live ranking and group averages.
Features
Key capabilities
One task, two orders
The board is identical both rounds - only the click order changes, so the time difference can only come from switching.
Every run is timed
Each device times both rounds to a tenth of a second and counts wrong taps, so the cost is measured, not guessed.
Playful and animated
Bricks pop away when correct and shudder red when wrong, with a countdown, live timer and a clear “click this next” prompt.
Live ranking & averages
The host sees both times per player, the switch cost in seconds, and group averages that make the lesson land.
Step by step
How it works
Create a session
Start the game from the dashboard and display the join code and QR.
Players join
Each player scans the code, enters a name and waits for you to start.
Two timed rounds
Everyone clears the board focused, then again while constantly switching - at their own pace.
Compare & debrief
Reveal the ranking and averages, then discuss why round 2 was slower and what to change at work.
